Shah reported that several full members of the ICC have expressed their disagreement with the 2023 ODI World Cup schedule and a revised schedule will be published within a few days.
Two-three full members of the ICC have expressed their objections to the schedule, there will be some changes in the World Cup schedule but not in the venue, he said.
He did not name these boards and it is not yet clear whether the Pakistan Cricket Board is among them. He also denied security threats and said the changes would only be made to accommodate the requests of the participating countries.
Several member countries have requested that they have short gaps between two matches while they have a long gap of six days before other games. We are just trying to change the date and time of the matches while maintaining the venues. Everything will be sorted out within two-three days, he added.
Bamrakh may go to Ireland
Shah also said the BCCI will not appeal against Harmanpreet Kaur’s ban imposed on her for her outburst during the recent series against Bangladesh. He added that BCCI president Roger Binny and NCA chief VP Laxman will question Harmanpreet about her outburst during the third ODI against Bangladesh.
The BCCI secretary also said that top fast bowler Jasprit Bamrakh is 100 percent healthy and can leave for Ireland.
