Speaking on the Willow Talk Cricket podcast this week, Lyon said: ‘There were a few Australian guys and a few English guys in the dining hall and I, hobbling around on crutches, stood in the middle of it all and tried to calm things down a bit,’ Lyon laughed. Johnny said a few words here and there. It’s all part of the game, I’m all for it.
The emotion in the locker room was awesome, Lyon continued. Everyone was stunned, but thought it was funny because when you walk through that long room, you’re more likely to get sued than hit. And so you look at this, at all these guys bullying you, and you think, What’s going on here? It was very funny in every way.
